Industry Organizations

The Association of Access Engineering Specialists (AAES), a specialist group under NARTE and in partnership with the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA), assists in the resolution of accessibility issues in telecommunications.

Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) is a federation of 2100 associations and sectors involved in the electronics industry. The site offers information on standards, technology, government relations, communications, and business trends and strategy.

Joint Spectrum Center (JSC) has as its mission: "To ensure the DoD's effective use of the electromagnetic spectrum in support of national security and military objectives."

The Low Power Radio Association (LPRA) acts as the voice of the low power radio industry for manufacturers offering products in Europe. The Association's quarterly publication, information on its tradeshow, and other related tidbits are contained in this site.

The Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics Inc. (RTCA) is a private, not-for-profit corporation that develops consensus-based recommendations regarding communications, navigation, surveillance, and air traffic management (CNS/ATM) system issues for the FAA.

TETRA provides information on the TErrestrial Trunked RAdio (TETRA), a new open digital trunked radio standard which is defined by the European Telecommunications Standardisation Institute (ETSI).
