Ferrite Cores

The Star-Tec ferrite features a plastic case and an interior safety lock. Fixtures are located in the edges of the unit, preventing breaks and air gaps when bending the cable. BGA Sockets

A line of ball grid array (BGA) sockets supports signal bandwidths up to 6 GHz. The device may be used in a variety of applications, including high-speed cpus, networks, and radio-frequency systems. The zero-insertion-force socket is available for a range of integrated circuit (IC) body sizes, with BGA pitches ranging from 0.75 to 1.27 mm. High-Resolution Bar Codes

The XF-550 bar code label is suitable for 600-dpi high-resolution printing, which allows for more information per label and takes up a minimal amount of space on a circuit board. Phenolic-Resin Coating

PR1010 is a modified phenolic-resin coating suitable for magnetic systems and a variety of metal components. The durable coating is resistant to chemicals and retards oxidation. The coating can be used as a final coat or as a primer before the bonding process. The application process involves grit blasting the surface to be coated and then spray coating with the resin, eliminating the need for a phosphoric acid etch. After air drying, the coating is oven cured for 1 hour. The standard coating is black, but a nonpigmented version is available. EMI/RFI Gaskets

A line of shielding gaskets delivers attenuation levels >100 dB and is available in a range of standard profiles and sizes. The gaskets are constructed with nickel plating over a copper substrate, and the metallized fabric is bonded to a low-compression-force, open-celled polyurethane foam. The corrosion-resistant plating provides galvanic compatibility, increasing shielding longevity. The flexible gasket provides continuous contact between mating surfaces. Gapped Toroids

Mini-Gap toroids are constructed with a single gap as narrow as 0.003 in. and are manufactured to either a specified AL or with a mechanical gap dimension. The manganese zinc toroid offers low power losses and the ability to decrease the effect of dc bias. The Model 4002 transmission-line-pulse tester measures the current-voltage characteristics designed into electrostatic discharge protection circuitry. SAR Test System

The SARA2 is an automatic test system for measuring the specific absorption rate (SAR) from mobile phones and other wireless devices. SAR measurements are made using a six-axis industrial robot with a probe-positioning accuracy of ±0.04 mm. The upright generic phantom head offers low evaporation and easy phone-positioning.
